The Paiste Symphonic Gong is Paiste's first version of the Gong. The Symphonic Gongs have a slightly higher surface area, with a beautiful harmonic and universal sound structure. The root tone of these Gongs are balanced with the complex overtone structure of the instrument. However, the characterising word "Symphonic" should not be misinterpreted as classical symphonic gong, but in its original intent with harmonic sounds. By using different percussion methods and types of Paiste Gong Mallets, an enormously wide palette of soundscapes can be created.
