Gong workshop - Yoga - Meditation - Gong bath - Gong puja - Singing bowls workshop
On 14, 15 & 16 October, we will organise a Gong Weekend at the beautiful Venwoude location in Lage Vuursche. It's almost too much to mention but it will be a weekend for deepening your whole being with the gong at its centre. During this weekend we will teach you practical work with the gong, gong techniques, the history of the gong, building a gong bath and meditating with the gong. We will also give a workshop with singing bowls and we have invited yoga teacher Giselle Tribaco-Halleux who will give yoga classes at different times that are an extension of the gong workshops. The yoga will include heart opening, grounding, detox and breathing exercises. This is also suitable for people who have never done yoga before.
Giselle is a yoga teacher who takes her students powerfully into the flow to complete tranquillity, shifting your attention to the oneness of body, mind and spirit. Her statement is; "As is above, so is below. The body is the microcosm and the universe is the macrocosm". For more information about Giselle see www.chitantraflow.com.
It is also possible to join separate parts in addition to the whole weekend and are;

Gongbad
A gong bath can provide a mystical experience expressed through the energy of the many harmonic vibrations that work their way through the nervous system. The body and mind are opened, emptied and recharged. Any sense of separation from other people and nature disappears. Anything that causes conflict disappears and it makes us feel part of the Universe. The mental, emotional and physical bodies become super conductive and super regenerative, making the usual resistance of the ego completely disappear and bringing us back to our Stillness.
You don't need to bring a mat for the Gong bath but you do need to bring a pillow and possibly a blanket.
Gongpuja
What is a Gongpuja?
You have to imagine the room being filled with about 20 gongs arranged in a vortex. Around this vortex, people lie sleeping or meditating an entire night in the sounds of the gongs. An "all night Gong Puja" is a journey through space in the Silence of who you are. Space is filled by multifying layers of overtones created by the gongs. It is an experience beyond all expectations. It is a ceremony of cleansing, regeneration, rejuvenation and insight - a process that takes about 6.5 hours in total. A Gongpuja involves playing at a volume at which you can sleep and/or meditate. Anyone participating in this evening/night is encouraged to participate fully in the Puja by taking turns playing the gong for the group or simply disappearing into the experience.
What should you bring?
Bring your own bottle of water, a duvet or sleeping bag and a pillow for a comfortable night. Think about comfortable clothes. Mattresses are provided there.
Full Moon Himalayan singing bowls workshop
In this workshop, we will use Full Moon Himalayan singing bowls. These bowls are made exclusively at full moon and in a Buddhist rite. We at Spirit Connection are the exclusive dealer of these bowls.
This afternoon is dedicated to working in practice with 4 attuned Full Moon Himalayan bowls both on and around the body. We learn to tune ourselves into clarity through these singing bowls. In practice, a setup like this has been shown to help with stress, tension, headaches, migraines, poor sleep, depression, pain, it increases energy, dissolves emotional and mental blockages and provides a better connection with your heart and soul.
This entire weekend will be held at the beautiful location of Venwoude (Vuurse Steeg 1) in Lage Vuursche. Venwoude is a centre of awareness and they give us the opportunity to make this entire weekend a reality. For more information about Venwoude, see www.venwoude.nl. The venue is in the middle of the woods and has its own showers and toilets.
