SOUND EXPERIENCE GONG CONCERT
Saturday 7 October from 20:00 - 21:30
As you may already know, we give concerts at beautiful venues in the Netherlands. We carefully choose our venues for atmosphere, intimacy and energy.
This evening we will give in the illustrious Studio 5 of the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep (MCO) A 'Sound Experience Gong Concert'. This unique venue is the studio space where the Metropole Orchestra, among others, rehearses. So the acoustics of this space are perfect for filling a special evening with a fine group of musicians. For this concert, the following musicians will perform;
- Alexandra Anisimowicz - soprano
- a small choir
- Atzko Kohashi - grand piano
- Siem Ranoesetiko - percussion
- Michael Telapary - Indian whistle
- Djoeke Klijzing - cello
- Hans Karssen - didgeridoo
- Frans de Rond - soundscapes
- Spirit Connection - 21 gongs and overtone instruments
When we lie in the magical whirlwind of sounds, any sense of separation from other people and nature disappears. Time and space dissolve into the stillness of the essence of what you essentially are.
This concert is a lying concert because it is about the total experience and not the visual spectacle. It is an inner journey. For people who cannot lie down, it is always possible to attend this concert seated.
The concert will last about 1.5 hours. The cost for this concert is €35 per person. The concert will be held in the MCO Studio 5 at Heuvellaan 33 in Hilversum. The doors of Studio 5 will open at 19.30, but the MCO complex itself will be open earlier for a cup of coffee or tea. Free parking is available in the car park of the MCO and on Heuvellaan.
